2010 Tax Refunds still available in SC

The IRS announces it has $10 million for people in South Carolina who have yet to file a 2010 tax return. The deadline to receive that money is April 15.  More than 8,000 people in the Palmetto State are owed money from 2010. The IRS reminder for people who forgot to file in 2010 states that you can claim your money as long as you file by April 15 of this year.  The IRS estimates the average income for the 2010 tax-year was more than $500. Experts announce that the law provides most taxpayers with a three-year window before their money becomes property of the U.S. Treasury.
