2017 Rock the Ranch Music Festival set

After the success of its inaugural year in fall 2016, Rock the Ranch is gearing up for its second annual music festival at the historic Charlie B’s Ranch Arena. The one-day event, being held on Saturday, August 12, features top acts from the region, with proceeds benefiting three selected charities: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Shriners Hospital for Children and Kathy’s Home. The festival’s inception was twofold: to honor a friend that passed away and bring music back to a historic concert venue from days long past. Charlie B’s Ranch Arena is situated on a beautiful family farm just outside of Seneca, at 155 Charlie B Farm Road. Gates will open at 2pm on Saturday and music will kick off at 3pm. In the 1970’s Charlie B’s Ranch Arena played host to the biggest musical acts of the day, bringing in crowds of thousands each show. From Fleetwood Mac, ZZ Top, The Marshall Tucker Band, James Gang, Black Oak Arkansas and many more. The hopes of the Rock the Ranch crew are to bring music back to this picturesque outdoor venue. In doing so, they want to honor the life and memory of a dear friend and Seneca native, Michael Gray, who passed away suddenly in 2015. In 2016, Rock the Ranch saw a great turn out for a first year event. The organizers decided to kick things up a notch for the second year and sought out the best talent the region has to offer. The Rock the Ranch Music Festival 2017 band line-up consists of: Dangermuffin (Charleston, SC), Dead 27’s (Charleston, SC), The Soulfeathers (Clemson, SC), Ploma Drive (Seneca, SC), Sam Burchfield (Atlanta, GA), Taught By Heroes (Seneca, SC) and Gritty Flyright (Charleston, SC). Admission to the festival is $10 for presale tickets (rocktheranch2017.eventbrite.com) or $15 the day of. A limited number of camping spots are available as well. A beer tent and multiple food trucks will be on-site all day long. This is a rain or shine event and all ages are welcome! Kids 12 and under are free. Every dollar raised is donated equally to the three selected charities. Rock the Ranch is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated for the sole purpose of raising and donating money to charity.
