$3M Real Estate Deal made on Former Taylor Made Golf Equipment Factory

A long-vacated manufacturing building just east of Westminster has been sold for $3 million.

The building was formerly a Taylor Made golf equipment plant. Realtor Anna Powell declined to identify the buyer but said he is a businessman who will bring a book distribution business to the area, creating 20 to 30 jobs.

The book distributor’s clients will include TJ Maxx and Barnes and Noble. The building has a history of golf club and ball manufacturing dating back to the 20th century when Dunlop built it around 1960. Later tenants included Maxfli and Taylor Made.
