Westminster’s City Admin Resigns

Following a meeting held in Executive Session on Thursday night, Westminster City Administrator Chris Carter, who has been administrator for over three years, submitted his resignation to the City Council.

Carter’s decision was a personal one, with him wanting to be closer to family in North Carolina. Also at the highly unusual special meeting, the Council again addressed the controversy over Mayor Brian Ramey’s Cabin on the Chauga River property, still without resolution. Mayor Pro-Tem Rusty Cater said the council will take the next few days to get more information from the Forestry Service and legal counsel before making “a declaration” on March 17 at the next regular meeting.
