7.60 Miles Of Oconee County Roads Scheduled To Be Improved

(Seneca, SC)—-The South Carolina Department of Transportation is providing public notification of projects identified for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the South Carolina roadway system.

The reconstruction and rehabilitation of the South Carolina roadway system is part of the Proposed 2020 Pavement Improvement Program.  After the public comment period, the program will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

The total Program consists of 561.39 miles of pavement improvements across the state.

Based upon information on the SCDOT website, there are 7.60 miles of roads scheduled for improvement in Oconee County.

One location is near the Walhalla/West Union area and involves Highway 11 from West Union to just south of South Bradley Drive.

There is also a second location on Highway 11 which stretches from Coneross Creek to Critter Road.

The other improvement location is in the southern part of the County near Fair Play on West Pine Grove Road from Dairy Farm Road to Pine Grove Road.
