AAA: No Sign of Gas Prices Declining Anytime Soom

Senator Lindsey Graham has stated that gas prices are a wake up call…

Yesterday’s increase of fifteen cents per gallon isn’t likely to be the last price hike on gasoline in the coming weeks. On July 1, South Carolina will raise its gas tax an additional two centers–from 26 to 28 cents a gallon. As of today, according to AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular is at $4.72, with South Carolina’s average at $4.32. By comparison, North Carolina’s current average is at $4.39, while Georgia’s average is at $4.19 per gallon of regular unleaded.

AAA’s Tiffany Wright said that she doesn’t expect gas prices to go down anytime soon, either…

Clemson Economics professor Scott Baier said you can expect the higher gas prices to have an effect on inflation across the board…
