Accused Burglar returned to Walhalla

Aaron Scott Gunn has reluctantly returned to his hometown of Walhalla to stand charges alleging he took $2,900 worth of items from a unit in the Standpoint Vista Apartment Complex in October.  Authorities in Rabun County, Georgia arrested Gunn after a routine traffic stopped uncovered an open container of alcohol and drugs.  Police were also alerted to a warrant for his arrest in Oconee County.  He fought extradition back to Walhalla but was denied this week by a judge.  He stands charged with burglary in the first degree, which is a felony.  Gunn was booked at the Oconee County Detention Center.
