Adult Education Program at the Ag Museum

The Agricultural Museum of South Carolina has started an Adult Learning Program that offers a variety of classes ranging from canning to hog processing to winter gardening. On Saturday, Jan. 30, “Basket Making for Beginners” takes place at the Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum. Class begins at 10am and ends between 12-12:30pm. The cost is $35 per person. The “Basket Making for Beginners” workshop is a beginner level class for those who would like to learn the basics of basket making. During the workshop, the attendees will make a 10 1/2″ round basket with a wooden base – large enough to fit a stack of paper plates. Expert Melinda Harbin teaches the workshop. At the end of the class, you will be taking the basket you created home to show your friends and family. Pre-registration is required and the deadline is Saturday, Jan. 23.
