Anderson County Implements Special Needs Registry

Anderson County Emergency Management is changing how they approach people with special needs in a life-threatening emergency. The Special Needs Registry gives first responder details about a person, and their condition, at their fingertips before ever responding to an emergency.

Register yourself or someone you know with special needs by simply inputting their address, their disability and a few details about how best to interact with them.

The information goes directly to dispatch so first responders are better equipped to help Anderson County residents as they’re en route to emergencies.

You can register online at https://www.emd.andersonsheriff.org/snregistry or call 864-760-1464 to get more information.
