Anderson County Man Pleads Guilty to Serious Charges
According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, on February 1, John Jeffrey Clark of Anderson pleaded guilty to two counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. The case began when a woman reported Clark for inappropriate requests involving her daughter. Further investigation revealed Clark, a Greenville County detention officer, had explicit conversations with multiple women about their young daughters. Clark’s home was searched, and electronic devices containing explicit content were seized. Clark was sentenced to eight years in prison, credited 330 days, and will register as a sex offender. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Bethany Miles.
