Anderson County Teen Charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a teenager for alleged misconduct involving a toddler. Detectives were summoned to an emergency room in Greenville on Thursday, March 21, where a 2-year-old was brought in for examination. Following interviews with the family and the suspect, it was revealed from the suspect’s testimony that the abuse had occurred over a period of at least two months at a residence on Martin Road in Starr.

The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Donovan Stamps, has been charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Despite these charges, the sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation, indicating the possibility of additional charges being filed. Stamps’ bond was denied by a judge, and he is currently being held at the Anderson County Detention Center.

Officials have stated that there is no evidence to suggest the existence of other victims in relation to Stamps’ case.
