Anderson Man sentenced for Accessory to Murder

It was nearly two years ago this month that the dismembered bodies of two people were found inside barrels on Lake Hartwell and yesterday an Anderson man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role. Shaine David Fischer pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to murder for his involvement in the deaths of Tony McGinnis and Andrea Kelley Mitchell. The judge sentenced Fischer to a total of 30 years, 15 years on each of two counts and to be served consecutively. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office discovered the bodies after receiving tips from a missing person report filed in the disappearance of McGinnis.
