Another Jail Meeting planned

A second meeting on the proposed new jail for Oconee County has been planned for later this month.  Last week, Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw met with architects to begin designing the new jail.  On October 17^th the group plans to meet again on the project.  Sheriff Crenshaw anticipates that a start date on the jail project will be announced after that meeting.  The new jail will take a year to build once construction begins.  On October 17^th, architects are to present design plans to Sheriff Crenshaw.  Those plans are to reflect discussions at last week’s meeting on the new jail.
