Another Pursuit in OC

A man sits behind bars after an early morning chase along I-85 in Oconee and Anderson counties. Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details about this second pursuit within 24-hours through the Golden Corner. “Deputy from our Uniform Patrol Division observed a vehicle with a proper tag display and failure to use a turn signal. The deputy initiated a stop, the subject refused to pull over and once again a pursuit began and this was around 1:47am this morning. Eventually, a portion of that pursuit ended up in Anderson County. Finally, the pursuit ended as stop sticks were deployed along I-85 near the four-mile maker, which is near the Anderson County line. An individual was taken into custody identified as Wayne Eugene Raffaldt of Singing Pines Road in Seneca. He was charged in uniform traffic tickets with driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, littering, reckless driving and use of license plate other than vehicle issue. He was also booked in under a temporary custody order where he will be facing additional charges and those warrants will be obtained sometime this afternoon.” Watt says he remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center.
