In area high school football action Friday night, the Seneca Bobcats beat the Wren Hurricanes 49-7. Bobcat senior running back Braxton Gambrell had touchdown runs of 75, 80 and 62-yards as well as a touchdown catch from senior quarterback Elijah Turner of 32-yards. Seneca junior running back Jacory Benson scored on runs of 40 and 10-yards respectively. Turner also threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to senior wide out Daquan Mackey. With the win the Seneca Bobcats improve to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Western AAA play. The Bobcats host the Palmetto Mustangs on Friday night at Coach Tom Bass Field with kickoff set for 7:30pm. The Walhalla Razorbacks (1-4, 0-2) fell to the BHP Bears 54-0. The West-Oak Warriors (0-5, 0-2) lost to the Pickens Blue Flame 38-0.
