Arrest Made in Clemson Weekend Shooting

A man has been arrested in relation to a fatal shooting at an apartment in Clemson. Officers responded to the incident on Saturday at 12:39 a.m. and discovered 21-year-old Logan Nathanial Markis Williams of Anderson with a gunshot wound.

The Clemson Police Department followed up on leads and obtained an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Khalill Rahsaun Smith of Anderson. Smith was located and arrested without incident.

He has been charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. In addition to these charges, Smith is also being held at the Anderson County Detention Center on unrelated charges. These include discharging a firearm into a vehicle while occupied, malicious injury to animals or personal property with an injury value between $2,000 and $10,000, and violation of a city ordinance.

The investigation is ongoing.
