Arrest made in Larceny from Church

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested a man from the Bountyland Community after deputies and investigators responded to reports of a stolen heat pump from Seneca Church of the Nazarene.  Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details.  “Deputies were dispatched to the church around 12:32pm and arrived on the scene about five minutes later to the church’s location at 143 Bountyland Road after the pastor of the church discovered that the power to the church was out after being on earlier in the morning.  Later on, it was discovered by the pastor that the heat pump was missing. Due to evidence found at the scene, investigators made their way to a house that is located behind the church at 210 Trammel Road.  Upon their investigation after receiving consent to search the property, the heat pump was discovered covered up by trash and a tarp behind a storage building on the property. Investigators have charged 28-year-old Jason Lee Trammell of Seneca with grand larceny in the taking of the heat pump.”  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation.
