Arson Investigation underway in OC

The Oconee County Fire Investigations Team is asking for the public’s help in solving an arson in the Timberlake One community. Fire Chief Charlie King with Oconee County Emergency Services reports that around 1am Monday, firefighters were alerted to a house on fire. Crews arrived to find the residence well involved in fire and spreading quickly. Firefighters had the fire under control within 15-minutes. Once extinguished and confirmed that no one was injured, crews began determining the cause of the fire. The Fire Investigations Team, which consists of specially trained firefighters and Oconee County Sheriff’s Deputies, determined that the fire was started deliberately.
