Ashley Ramirez Appointed as Principal of Seneca High School

During the regular board meeting on Monday, March 18, the Board of Trustees of the School District of Oconee County confirmed the appointment of Ashley Ramirez as the new principal of Seneca High School. Mrs. Ramirez, a native of Oconee and the current assistant principal at Walhalla High School, is set to return to Seneca High, where she formerly taught mathematics.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education and a master’s degree in educational leadership, both from Clemson University. Prior to transitioning into administration in 2018, Mrs. Ramirez dedicated 14 years to classroom teaching. She resides in Oconee County with her husband, Rich, and their daughter, Zoe. Superintendent Dr. Michael Thorsland praised her past performance and looks forward to her leadership.
