Award Finalists announced for Spotlight Oconee

Each year, the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce recognizes outstanding businesses and individuals for their contributions to the growth and improvement of the county. The recognition takes place at the Spotlight Oconee Dinner on May 15. Voting has officially begun for the awards, explains Oconee County Chamber executive director Jillian Lusk. “We are so excited about all the finalists; we have 29 businesses and individuals who were highlighted throughout that nomination process. We are already off to a great start for online voting. People can come to our office to vote in person on a paper ballot, they can call 882-2097 to place their vote or they can go online to facebook, to our website and to many of our partners who are distributing the link. So, we hope to get as much exposure as we can for these businesses because whether they end up winning the final award or not, they are all doing really great things.” Voting takes place through May 11. Winners will be announced and receive their awards at the Spotlight Oconee Dinner on May 15.
