Back to School Sales Tax Holiday in SC Aug. 4-6

South Carolina shoppers can enjoy a tax-free weekend from August 4 to 6. The Department of Revenue announced that computers, printers, school supplies, clothing, shoes, and some bed and bath items will be exempt from sales tax for 72 hours. The tax-free items can be bought online or in-store. Last year, the state’s consumers saved more than $26.2 million during the Tax-Free Weekend. The first day back to school for students in Oconee and Anderson Counties is Thursday, August 3rd, while students in Pickens County will head back to classes on Tuesday, August 1st.
