Bearden requesting Better CAT Service

CAT bus rider Anita Bearden of Seneca is a believer in bus passenger service, but she has a few suggestions for city and county officials. Since September, she has been monitoring the service and speaking to other riders about their experiences. Since switching to an all-electric fleet of buses three months ago, Bearden has noticed delays on the routes. In addition, those delays, she says, are costly to riders who headed to work or attempting to make medical appointments. Bearden has noticed differences in the features of the diesel and electric buses that she hopes can be remedied. They include the elimination of stops at two important locations, no package rails for stowage, and no handrails at the doors. “Moreover, our suggestion is to correct the delays in the Seneca CAT bus service before expanding it to Walhalla and Westminster,” she says.
