Beloved Member of Westminster and Oconee County Passes Away

Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said that Westminster City Councilman, Yousef A. Mefleh, died at his home Saturday morning at approximately 1:00 am; his death is due to an apparent cardiac related event. His manner of death is classified Natural.

Councilman Mefleh was a friend to many people; he loved his family, the City of Westminster, and the USA. He will be truly missed by many people, including Westminster’s Mayor Brian Ramey, who said he is blessed to have know Yousef…

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022 at the Westminster First Baptist Life Center with burial to follow at First Baptist Memorial Park. The body will lie in state at the Westminster First Baptist Life Center, 9:00 am – 2:30, Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022 prior to the service.

The family is at their respective homes.
