Bicyclist killed in Accident near OC Airport

A fatal accident claimed the life of a bicyclist in Oconee County Wednesday morning. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident on Shiloh Road at Harbin Acres Road, which is near Oconee Regional Airport. The fatal incident occurred around 6am. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis reports a 55-year-old Seneca man died of traumatic injuries when a vehicle struck his bicycle. At the request of the family, Addis is not releasing the name of the deceased bicyclist.
