Blue Ridge Electric plans Outage

Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative’s transmission supplier has scheduled an outage for early Sunday morning in southwest Oconee and northwest Anderson counties. The outage is scheduled to start at midnight, last until 4am, and affect those in Port Bass, Fair Play and Townville. The outage will allow crews to transfer the transmission feed to a newly constructed line, which should improve service reliability. In the event of inclement weather, the service interruption will be postponed until the following Sunday morning, July 31, at midnight. The cooperative extends its apologies for the inconvenience this interruption will create.
