Board of Trustees Honors Students and Bus Driver

At their September 18th meeting, the School District of Oconee County Board of Trustees recognized two Seneca High School students, Daniel Grayden and Trevor Dawson, and Seneca area bus driver Rick Walton for their actions during a medical emergency suffered by another bus driver earlier in the month.

Dr. Thorsland thanked both Daniel and Trevor for their leadership and willingness to help during the difficult situation.  He also thanked Mr. Rick Walton for stepping in to help ensure the safety of the students on both buses.   Dr. Thorsland said, “Your willingness to help and remain calm in a difficult situation is to be commended.”
