Bobcats spoil Blue Flame Homecoming

The Seneca Bobcats (7-0) spoiled the Pickens Blue Flame (3-4) Homecoming Friday night with a 31-6 victory. Seneca scored on its first offensive possession when quarterback Elijah Turner connected with wide receiver Chris Latimer on a 23-yard touchdown pass. Hunter Pearson added the extra point. Pickens answered back with 31 and 47-yard field goals by Matt Gravely to make the score 7-6 at the half. It was all Seneca in the second half as Bobcat running back Jacory Benson scored on 6, 36 and 3-yard runs. Pearson hit the extra points as well as a 21-yard field goal to cap the Bobcat scoring. The Seneca Bobcats are back in action Friday night when they host the BHP Bears (6-1) in a Western AAA showdown.
