Body found in search for Missing OC Man

A body has been recovered in the search for a missing Oconee County man.  Oconee County Fire Chief Charlie King said that a body was recovered from Lake Jocassee around 2:20pm Saturday afternoon.  Rescue crews from Oconee and Pickens counties responded to Devils Fork State Park at Lake Jocassee late Saturday morning to search for a man. Chief King said that family members reported the man missing Friday, and his vehicle and dog were found at the state park Saturday morning. According to King, approximately 50 rescue personnel were involved in the search.  The Oconee County Coroner’s Office has ruled this a suicide. The name of the deceased was not released.
