Bond Denied for Teen Accused of Attempted Murder

Truett Gregory Brock

Truett Gregory Brock, age 19 from Seneca, faced the judge in court on Thursday. He was shackled and accused of two counts of attempted murder. The judge said he was a threat to the community and denied him bond. He was sent back to jail to await trial. One of his alleged victims told the judge that she had to close her day care business because she was afraid of Brock. She begged the judge to keep him locked up. The judge also canceled a $1 million bond that Brock had received from a magistrate earlier. He said it was not proper. He told Brock’s lawyer, Public Defender Amanda Surles, that she could ask for a new bond after six months.

Anthony Michael Seagraves

Brock’s co-defendant, Anthony Seagraves, is still in jail in Oconee County with a $175,000 bond. He is also charged with attempted murder and other crimes.
