Braves beat Mets on Sunday

For all the talk about their home runs, the Atlanta Braves proved on Sunday that they could do damage with the walk. The Braves took advantage of seven walks by Mets pitchers, cashing in five of them for runs, and got three RBIs apiece from first baseman Freddie Freeman and right fielder Reed Johnson in a 9-4 win over the Mets at Turner Field. The win snapped a three-game home losing streak. The Braves are now 18-12 on the season. They open up a 3-game series in Cincinnati tonight. It will be the first game of a 10-game road trip.
