Braves fall to Mets in finale

The Atlanta Braves concluded their grueling five-game series against the New York Mets on Thursday night with a tough 4-3 loss at Turner Field. The Braves’ young star pitcher, Mike Minor, allowed a season-high three home runs and consecutive doubles that proved decisive in the seventh inning.  David Wright hit two solo home runs and pinch-hitter Andrew Brown added one of his own to help the Mets. With just two wins in these five games, the Braves lost a home series for the first time this season.
