Braves fall to Phillies at home

The Philadelphia Phillies saw Cole Hamels prove once again to be one of the game’s elite pitchers as he lead his club to a 5-1 win over the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field Monday night.  Cody Asche hit a three-run homer and that was all the offense the Phillies needed to snap an 11-game road losing streak. Hamels scattered six hits and allowed just one run for the Phillies to win for just the fourth time in their past 21 games. This was just the second loss in the past 16 games for the Braves, who had averaged 5.7 runs in their previous 15 contests. The Atlanta Braves are now 72-47 on the season.  Catch all the exciting action of Atlanta Braves baseball here on WSNW.
