Braves lose second in row to Nats

After winning the first two games of the four-game series with the Washington Nationals, the Atlanta Braves dropped the last two. Dan Haren pitched eight strong innings and helped the Nationals split the series with Thursday night’s 3-1 win over the Braves at Turner Field. The lone offensive bright spot for the Braves came when Dan Uggla hit a two-out homer over the wall in left-center field in the seventh inning. Uggla’s fifth home run of the season ended a streak of 18 consecutive scoreless innings for the Braves dating back to the fifth inning of Tuesday night’s victory. They totaled seven hits while losing the final two games of the series.  Catch all the exciting action of Atlanta Braves baseball here on WSNW.
