Braves win seventh straight

After their third consecutive dominant starting pitching effort backed by a home run exhibition, the Braves appear to have perfected the formula for a blowout over the last few nights, at the expense of the Colorado Rockies. Braves starter Julio Teheran matched his career high with 11 strikeouts and Justin Upton notched his second multi-homer game of the season to power the Braves to a convincing four-game sweep of the Rockies with an 11-2 win. With the win, the Braves capped off their first perfect homestand of at least seven games since 2000. They also extended their first-place lead to 11 1/2 games in the National League East ahead of a six-game road trip against division foes Philadelphia and Washington. The Atlanta Braves are now 64-45 on the season.  Catch all the exciting action of Atlanta Braves baseball here on WSNW.
