Brita recalling Water Bottles

A popular kid’s water bottle is being recalled due to safety concerns. Consumer Product Safety Commission Chairman Elliott Kaye tells about the Brita recall. “There are about 250,000 of them in the market that have had cracks in the white plastic lid on the top that could create some pretty sharp edges and we don’t want kids to get cut on them.” Fortunately no kids have been injured, continues Kaye. “There have been 35 reports to the company of the lids breaking or cracking but thankfully we have not seen any or heard of any incidents where kids have gotten cut.” Kaye says parents should stop using these bottles at once. “They should go to www.brita.com and they should look up the recall and immediately seek a refund, which is available from the company.” The Brita water bottles being recalled are adorned with popular characters like Dora the Explorer, Hello Kitty and Sponge Bob Square Pants.
