Burglary & Murder Suspect Wants New Lawyer

One of the men accused in the March 2019 shooting death of 73-year-old Geraldine Castle of Walhalla wants a new lawyer, according to Deputy Solicitor Lindsey Simmons.

Decota Brown, who was the victim’s grandson, was charged with first-degree burglary and murder. Co-defendant Hunter Lee Hunnicutt entered a plea of guilty last year, however he has not yet been sentenced.

No trial date has been set at this time since jury trials are currently suspended due to COVID-19.
