Bus and Truck collide near Seneca

The Seneca Fire Department reports that an 18-wheeler rear-ended a CAT Bus on Highway 123, leaving nine people with minor injuries. The collision happened around 10:45am Wednesday on Highway 123 at Carson Road. The all-electric bus was running an express route between Seneca and Clemson. There were 12 passengers on the bus and nine of those were taken to Oconee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that the bus was traveling east on Highway 123 when the driver, 63-year-old Yuvonne Bowens stopped to drop off some passengers. The driver of the 18-wheeler, 39-year-old Jeremy Kane Goodwin was issued a citation for driving too fast for conditions. Minor damage was done to both vehicles.
