Bus Work on Railroad Street in Seneca

Passengers will start riding the new all-electric CAT buses on January 6th, so work is being done on Railroad Street to accommodate the new buses but also passengers, explains Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander. “There will be sort of a wall that will actually screen off the transformers and some of the heavy equipment there that they use to charge buses, so that will be taken care of.  There are actually restrooms and a sitting area that is also going to be incorporated there, so there is still a lot of construction work to be done right in that area but that is supposed to be done the first part of this year.” Mayor Alexander describes what the bus stop on Railroad Street will comprise once construction work is completed. “So there will be restrooms that will be open to the passengers for the buses.  Also, there will be a sitting area where people can sit until they get on the bus.  And then the separation between the transformer and the road, there will be some things put there to screen that off a little.” Construction on the new bus stop on Railroad Street in downtown Seneca is scheduled for the first few weeks of the New Year.
