Candidate Qualifying for June 11 Primaries Ends Monday

For the June 11 primary, the candidates running for the U.S. House of Representatives, District 3 are Sheri Biggs, Kevin Bishop, and Stewart O Jones.

In the State House of Representatives, District 6, the candidates are April Cromer and Kyle White. For District 8, Don Chapman and Sherry Hodges are running, while James Galyean and Blake Sanders are the candidates for District 9. In District 10, Pam Anthony and Thomas Beach are the contenders.

The candidates for Solicitor Circuit 10 are Micah Black, Beth Blundy, and Danny Fulmer. For the position of Sheriff in Pickens, David Harrison, Damon Hubber, and Michael Aaron Ticknor are running. In Anderson, the candidates for Coroner are James Hayes and Greg L Shore. For the position of County Treasurer in Oconee, Gena Acree and Tonya Y Keller are the candidates.

The candidates for County Council are Matthew Durham and India Lancaster for District 2 in Oconee; Justin Durham, Jonathan Haines, and Alex Saitta for District 3 in Pickens; Julian W Davis III and Tommy James for District 4 in Oconee, and Roy Costner and Scott Lang for District 4 in Pickens. For District 5, the candidates are Tommy Dunn and Robert Tony McCurry in Anderson, Glenn Hart and Gwen McPhail in Oconee, and Mason Sims and Brandon Thomas in Pickens. Lastly, for District 6 in Pickens, Dale Holloway and Henry Wilson are running.

All candidates are from the Republican party. Qualification deadline is Noon on Monday, April 1.
