Carolyn Lee Adams to discuss First Book at TCTC

Writer and stand-up comedian Carolyn Lee Adams discusses her first published book, Ruthless, on Sept. 28 at Tri-County Technical College. The event, from 1:20-2:20pm, takes place in the Marshall Parker Auditorium on the Pendleton Campus. It is sponsored by the College’s Enrichment Series Committee and is free and open to the public. Adams released Ruthless, a psychological thriller told in the first person by 17-year-old heroine Ruth Carver, who is kidnapped by a serial killer and taken to a remote area in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ruth eventually escapes and engages in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with her former captor. Adams also will discuss her writing process and information about getting published.
She attended USC Film School and graduated with a BFA in screenwriting. When she isn’t exploring the dark side of human nature in her writing, you’ll find her on stage as a stand-up comedienne. Adams has lived in the Upstate for the past 10 years.
