Local Girls win SC Presidents Cup State Championship

A local girls’ soccer recently won the South Carolina Presidents Cup State Championship. The girls, ages 14-16, play for the Clemson Anderson Soccer Alliance (CASA) and represent local towns of Seneca, Walhalla, Mountain Rest, Clemson, Easley, and Anderson. Weather-related Delays and Cancellations

Oconee County public schools, Pickens County public schools and Oconee Christian Academy are closed today due to snow. Oconee County Government Offices are on a two-hour delay. All offices will open at 10:30am for normal business. Seneca and Walhalla city offices as well as municipal court are operating on a two-hour delay today as well.

Anderson Man arrested for shoplifting from Walmart

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Anderson County man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for shoplifting from the Walmart in Seneca.
