SC Unemployment Rate Unchanged

In August, South Carolina’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged at 8.1%. The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce reports that the unemployment rate has shown little movement since April, fluctuating between 8 and 8.1%. Unemployed persons statewide totaled 175,602 in August, an increase of 1,165. Oconee County’s jobless situation was also unchanged from July to August at 8.8%.  […]

Beginning Monday, September 23rd 2013, North Townville Street in Seneca will be closed for road construction between East North 2nd Street and Hopkins Road.  All traffic should follow the detour onto North Depot Street, via East North 2nd Street and Hopkins Road.  North Townville Street is scheduled to be closed until mid December.
