Cautioned urged with Snow in OC

Snow in South Carolina always presents problems for motorists. Even if your vehicle is able to get traction in the snow, Emergency Officials suggest that if you don’t have to travel, stay at home. If you must travel, then use extreme caution, explains Oconee County Emergency Services Director Chief Scott Krein. “Any time there is any type of precipitation, frozen or not, slow down a little bit and increase the distance between vehicles. As the upcoming weather comes in, we are expecting a little bit more snow with some accumulation. So, I encourage everyone to be prepared and stay off the roads. Help us do our job in protecting the public by staying off the roads.” Winter weather causes road conditions to change very quickly.
