Municipal Election scheduled for Seneca City Council

There will be a municipal election this year for seats on the Seneca City Council. Candidate qualifying ended at noon on Monday, Jan. 8, with six candidates filing the necessary paperwork to run for one of the four open council seats, explains Oconee County Voter Registration and Elections Director Joy Scharich. “We have a total of six candidates that have filed for four seats. So, we will hold the election on March 13. We have Robert B. Holbrooks, W.C. Hunnicutt Jr., Scott Durham, Denise Rozman, Joel Ward and Stuart Pohl as the six candidates.” Seneca residents will cast ballots in the municipal election on March 13.
