Changes Coming for SC Criminal Case Dockets; Murder Trial in Oconee on Calendar for This Month

Starting July 3rd, South Carolina’s criminal case dockets will be developed differently. This directive comes from the South Carolina Supreme Court in Columbia. Lisa Burton, Oconee Clerk of Court, says that the state’s clerks of court will learn more about these changes in a meeting this week. Oconee is preparing for another General Sessions Court after just finishing an abbreviated week. The new trial docket shows that Braxton Earl will be adjudicated for murder and other charges during the next court term from June 19-23. Earl is accused of killing Pendleton resident Richard Dennis Keese in Utica in 2021.
