Chase Ends with Arrest of Two Suspects by Pickens County Deputies

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office reported that a vehicle chase ended with two individuals being apprehended Tuesday night. The chase began when deputies identified a vehicle associated with a suspect wanted in Oconee County. Despite attempts to stop the vehicle, the driver refused, leading to a chase. The chase concluded with the detention of two suspects. The passenger, Jacob Hendricks, 34, was handed over to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, while the driver, James Marchbanks, was arrested and charged with two counts of Failure to Stop, resisting with a Deadly Weapon, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. Both men remain jailed in Oconee and Pickens Counties respectively, pending bond and judicial proceedings.
