City Council Meetings Tuesday in Westminster & Walhalla

The April meeting of Westminster City Council, scheduled for 6 pm tomorrow at the city fire department, will feature a presentation by representatives of engineering company Bolton & Menk. They will present a master plan for the downtown area.

The upcoming meeting of Walhalla’s city council on Tuesday evening is expected to be a lengthy affair, as the agenda spans four pages. The council will hear from Dr. Michelle Hall, a Clemson University specialist in poultry, regarding whether the city should reconsider its regulations on wildlife and potentially allow residents to raise chickens amid concerns about rising inflation. The council will also review a work contract for S. Catherine Street, receive the city’s fiscal year 2022 audit, and determine whether the YMCA will manage the municipal pool for the upcoming season. An executive session is planned for a discussion of a contractual real estate matter.

Both city council meetings in Walhalla and Westminster are open to the public.
