City of Clemson Extends Mask Ordinance

The City of Clemson Mask Ordinance was extended at a recent Council Meeting. This amended emergency ordinance will be in effect for 60 days from this past Monday.

Last weekend, Clemson Police said they issued close to 150 citations over a three day period to violators of the local mask ordinance, which has been in effect for about two months now.

Governor McMaster and State Health officials are encouraging the wearing of face coverings to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Additionally, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, there is no law that prohibits a concealed weapons permit holder from wearing a mask to comply with city or county health ordinances.
