City Talk coming to The Lake

In an effort to increase tourism in the city, Seneca launches a new talk show this Saturday on 94.1 The Lake. The new show is being made possible thanks to Hospitality and Accommodations Tax funds, explains Seneca Events Coordinator Riley Johnson. “City Talk is a great new avenue we are going to be able to use to promote all kinds of neat events. We would love to take HAT dollars and advertise with folks promoting their festivals and concerts but there are so many things that HAT dollars cannot be used for. If you pay to get in or if you pay to do something, you can’t use HAT dollars.” City Talk will feature people from the community promoting things happening in the area, continues Johnson. “Mayor Dan Alexander and yours truly will be promoting things going on in the city and the county. The whole purpose is to get people out of the house and get people into our city. There is so much going on in our city that we just want to have an avenue so people can come on the radio to promote it, whether it is a movie being made here, a church having a concert, or anything; a walk, a march or whatever.” City Talk airs every Saturday morning from 8-9am on 94.1 The Lake.
