Class of 2018 at SHS sets Scholarship Record

The Class of 2018 at Seneca High School (SHS) set a new scholarship record. The 225 graduates on June 2, earned more than $17 million in scholarships, tells Cari Carter, Guidance Director at SHS. “Collectively, the Class of 2018 earned over $17 million in scholarship monies. So, we are very proud of that, they set a record and so always very proud of the scholarships that they earned, which help them to go on and do the things that they have set as goals for themselves. 43% of the class plans to go to a four-year university and 44% plan to go on to a two-year college. So, really, really proud of this class and all that they have accomplished. We will miss them as there were some very memorable students in the Class of 2018.” Lilly Lee was this year’s Valedictorian and Abbey Hudson was the Salutatorian. The SHS Class of 2018 featured 47 High Honor Graduates with GPAs of 4.25 or higher and 43 Honor Graduates with GPAs of 3.75 or higher. Seven members of the class also plan to join the military.
